LEARN ENGLISH ... VERY SLOWLY

I have noticed that everyone wants to learn English fast, fast, fast.

Speed can be good (when racing against world-class sprinters like Usain Bolt or Caster Semenya, or when running from a bear in the forest, for example). But for the most part, speed is bad.

Speed dominates our lives even when we are not racing against world-class sprinters or running from wild animals in the forest. We expect a lightning fast internet connection so that we can fly from one website to another.  We take bullet trains to fast food restaurants.  We fight rush hour traffic to arrive at work where our boss wants a  report ASAP (as soon as possible). We even want to learn fast.

If we are more stressed in the world today, it is due to the speed of modern life.  Ruled by the clock, we no longer have enough time.  But there are some activities that you should never do quickly: eating, sleeping, making love, thinking, learning.  Slowing down your fast life will make you happier, healthier, and more productive.

That is why I am inviting you to come to the French countryside to learn how to slow down.  We will be a small group of people (no more than 10) from all corners of the world.  For one week, we will speak English together in a calm and friendly atmosphere while enjoying the slow pace of French provincial life.  Won't you join us?  Think about it slowly.  Take your time and read the brochure (click on the image below) and then contact me at teacher.michele.chester@gmail.com.
